Kris Jenner Can"t Explain Jaden Smith"s Batman Costume, But She Was Cool With It - Webmaster News

New Post has been published on http://www.outils-webmaster.eu/kris-jenner-cant-explain-jaden-smiths-batman-costume-but-she-was-cool-with-it/

In the midst of the secrecy and over-the-top rumors surrounding Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s wedding came perhaps the one single thing that we knew to be true — Jaden Smith wore a white Batman costume to both the ceremony and the reception.

Born and raised among the Hollywood elite, the 15-year-old is the son of superstar parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith and a close friend of the Kardashian family. (He’s also rumored to be dating Kylie Jenner). His Batman suit, however, isn’t something you’d expect from an A-lister’s son — not to mention it’s not the first time we’ve seen Jaden in a superhero costume.

Thankfully everyone’s favorite momager, Kris Jenner, stopped by HuffPost Live on June 5 with not so much an explanation as much as an acknowledgement of Smith’s outlandish attire.

“He is the greatest kid in the world. I’m very close to Jaden and he’s like one of my own, you know,” Jenner told HuffPost Live host Caitlyn Becker. “And he had this Batman costume on and I thought it was just genius. When you look at it … it sounds just crazy. It was beautiful. He looked so good, and so fun, and he also has a really good sense of humor.”

And, yes, Jenner confirmed that Jaden did indeed wear the costume the whole time.

“But actually, the Batman costume was really cool and fabulous, and it was white and it was almost like, ‘Oh, there’s Jaden in his Batman costume,’” Jenner explained. “It wasn’t like a crazy thing. It was actually really fun, and he added such a, you know, humor to the night and it was great.”

Jenner also revealed that Jaden turned out to be a bit of a hero in his own right as she misplaced the shoes she needed to wear back to Paris the morning after the wedding. Rather than slip on the seven-inch designer heels she wore for the ceremony, she turned to Smith and asked, “‘Jaden, where’s your Batman boots?’… And I borrowed them,” she said. “So, Batman saved the day.”

Basically, Jenner can’t really explain why Smith chose to dress up like Batman, but she didn’t hate it.

Dawn Ritz" Ascending Southern Star: Hollywood Costume Designer to Appear at Phoenix COMICON - Webmaster News

New Post has been published on http://www.outils-webmaster.eu/dawn-ritz-ascending-southern-star-hollywood-costume-designer-to-appear-at-phoenix-comicon/

“There’s no right or wrong in art, there’s only something called experiences,” mused Dawn Ritz. The tenacious costume designer, scheduled to appear as a guest panelist at the 2014 Phoenix COMICON, has seized Tinsel town opportunities rather than let them come to her.

Ritz’ grasp of Hollywood high opera has caught the attention of artists as varied as Jamie Presley and Marilyn Manson; barely 30, Ritz has conceived epic world tours for bands Slipknot and the aforementioned Manson, costume designed country legend Glen Campbell and his family for their 2012 Grammy performance – and even the indie-film world is now enlisting her talents.

“I loved working with Dawn,” says actress Linda Cardellini who recently worked with Ritz on the upcoming film Lost in Austin. “Her love of music, art, film and fashion influence really made these characters come to life. She is incredibly talented and fearless.”

Even her bio has a bit of swagger. Born on a mountaintop by the sea in Puerto Rico, Ritz was raised outside Corpus Christy, Texas. At 18 she skedaddled from the Lone Star State for Hollywood, went to hair and make-up school, assisted stylists, put herself through design school, and was up and running … or, driving, a lot of driving. After all, it’s LA.

“Being a stylist and a costume designer, 90% of my job is in the car driving somewhere, to pick up clothes to go to a fitting,” Ritz said.

Whether it’s a pageant -dress modeled after her beloved Texas’ state flag for young actress Ursula Parker or outfitting Marilyn Manson in draconian para-military garb for his Twins of Evil tour, Ritz can often be preparation for her next custom wardrobe build, perusing endless bolts of different colored fabric in LA’s downtown garment district.

Would-be iconography, Ritz’ handiwork for Lost in Austin

“I want to be able to pull a rabbit out of a hat and wow people and create something that lasts in one’s mind. And, that to me, is the icing on the cake.”

Ritz will be on a few panels at this year’s Phoenix COMICON. She will be giving out signed illustrations of some of her work alongside a surprise celebrity guest.
