Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley is recovering after years of “hard boozing” nearly eliminated him. The 34-year-old just recently opened up about his battle with alcoholism and uploaded harrowing photos from a month-long hospitalization after his liver and kidneys “broke down on [him]”
Now, the Canadian musician is thanking fans for their support. On May 24, Whibley uploaded an upgrade on his condition on his internet site:
hi there everyone, i simply wished to thank you all a lot for sending out presents and all of the empathy and support you have actually shown me. it really indicates a lot to me in this time of recuperation. i will be better quickly and back out on phase before you know it.

The rocker also uploaded an existing picture of himself along with the message of thanks.
